Tom Blomqvist walked away from Detroit proud of his team’s efforts after the No. 93 Acura secured Acura Meyer Shank Racing’s first win of the 2025 IMSA season.
Blomqvist started from P2 and delivered a composed first stint before turning the car over to Colin Braun. Despite a clean run, the No. 60 machine ultimately finished sixth after battling heavy traffic and tyre degradation in the second half of the race.
“Massive congratulations to the 93 guys — they really earned that one,” said Blomqvist. “We didn’t quite have the same race luck on our side today, but that’s part of this championship. The important thing is that Acura and MSR are back on the top step. We’ll regroup, find the speed we need, and come out swinging at The Glen.”
