Blomqvist battles to fifth at Sebring

ROUND TWO | MAR 17 - 19

• Tom qualified sixth on the grid for the 70th running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring
• The #60 Meyer Shank Racing squad of Tom, Oliver Jarvis & Stoffel Vandoorne were in the leading fight throughout the early stages
• Approaching the halfway mark of the race, Tom had led for two laps and the trio settled into second place
• Running cleanly up to the tenth hour, the team unfortunately picked up damage when a car collided with Vandoorne
• Despite the damage, the team fought valiantly to claim fifth place overall
• Tom leaves the Super Sebring weekend in third place in the Drivers Championship
• The championship continues on April 8 - 10 at the Grand Prix of Long Beach

"It was a tough day. The weekend didn't run too smoothly for us and I think ultimately it cost us in the race. It was a long day out there, but the boys ran a fantastic race, we really didn't have any issues and we ran a very good race strategically. Ultimately we just didn't have the pace. And then with a few hours to go we had damage to the car and the pace dropped off quite a bit and we weren't really able to find any more which was a bit of a shame. It was a typical Sebring 12 hour, super tough, super hot. We just need to try and improve the car for the next time out."
