Blomqvist and Gelael seal Abu Dhabi double

“I’d like to say another huge congratulations to the team - they were absolutely flawless all weekend and thoroughly deserve a double victory.

“Sean ran his first stint really well and used the early drama to our advantage and got us to the front. From there it was a much closer race than yesterday with the lead changing a lot between us and the #25 G-Drive.

“I was really pleased with my stint, I was able to pull back the 18 seconds and and retake the lead, bringing us back into the fight. Sean then handled the final hour really well, especially managing the slow-puncture on the front left and holding the #25 off towards the end.

“It’s been a great weekend for us all and the perfect way to prepare for the World Endurance Championship season later in the year. For my first time in LMP2 machinery for nearly five years, it’s been really promising to settle back in and be competitive - big thanks to JOTA for their hard work.”
